Welcome to my studio!

My many-years-long hiatus from painting has been justified all this time by the excuses that I had little children with sticky fingers, and that I didn’t have any space to do it. Well, a few months ago I decided, ‘enough with the excuses!’ – my kids are old enough now to know not to touch wet oil paintings, and my only remaining excuse was not having a space to paint in. That’s why I organised this little portable cabin for myself, and I’ve literally had a painting on the go ever since.
I have to admit I was scared that I’d forgotten how to paint the way I did when I was in my 20s, but it turns out it’s like riding a bike – a bit wobbly and nerve-wracking at first, but the feeling is there and it’s coming back fast. I feel like my painting now has more freedom and looseness, and way more vibrancy of colour than before. I have no idea where I’m going but for the next painting, and it’s wonderful. I hope you enjoy following my progress, as I continue to explore my creativity and share my art with you on this website.
